Daily Money Management

In 2020, ETC Business Services added Daily Money Management to the services offered to individuals and small businesses. Daily Money Management is a growing service that provides an important helping hand to seniors and older adults, people with disabilities, busy professionals, high net worth individuals, small businesses and others who require outsourced money management.

For some people, mail can be an intimidating responsibility  that is left untended. Questioning a bill or statement, making calls or providing evidence of prior payment can be frustrating. Invoices can be received by mail, fax or email and approval can be delegated according to your preference. Daily Money Management includes bookkeeping detail for expenses and can be valuable in preparing tax documentation for end-of-the-year submission to a tax preparer.

Tax Preparation & Planning

By choice I prepare very few tax returns. I’m comfortable with a 1040 with a Schedule C for business interests and Schedule E for real estate investments, but corporate or complex returns are best left to the certified public accountants. I have referrals to offer if a CPA will do the best work for you. I believe most taxpayers can prepare their own tax return using easily found tax software and the interview features that walk through with the same questions I would ask. But if you have questions about taxes, I stand ready to help or at least give you a solution to explore. The following resources may be helpful to you.

LLC and Corporate Compliance

Considering taking a sole proprietorship to a limited liability company or corporation? Learning the pros and cons to each corporate structure is important, but so is understanding the compliance required to keep the liability truly limited. There are a few questions that will help determine the right decision available, even if it is to not make a change.

Check Printing

If you do most of your work on-the-go handwritten checks or online payment solutions make the most sense. But if you manage your business with a computer and printer, using printed checks with your accounting software can save time and avoid errors. If you use more than ten checks in a month’s time, it would be worth your time to purchase printed checks. Voucher checks include 3 parts: the check that has safety features to help prevent fraud, the part below that goes with the check to indicate bills being paid, and a third part that is detached and kept with the bill to document payment (an important record keeping requirement). ETC can help you with affordable check printing.
